BabyVox Giveaway!

Yesterday, while I was browsing through some blogs, I happened to stumbled upon BabyVox’s Giveaway page. Considering that this will only be her second giveaway, the prizes were surely eye-catching! Even I couldn’t resist the urge to join the giveaway. Who knows? I might win the blog make-over!

Kidding aside, what I really want to gain from this giveaway is the domain, .info. I’m planning to move out of Tumblr and settle for a more complicated way of blogging —— using Wordpress. I have used Wordpress before, way back during high school when I really took blogging seriously, even making it my top priority. But it doesn’t mean I don’t give my blog a serious thought now, I just arrange my priority depending on the most important, such as my practicum, etc….

Menu Design for Thesis

I recently had my thesis for Facilities and Layout Design. The objective of the thesis is to create a imaginary hospitality establishment and make a plan on how to build and promote it.

My group chose a cafe/coffee shop that is environmental-friendly, which means that the cafe mainly uses recyclable resources and materials. The interior design of the cafe would consist of green and brown colored theme to produce a garden image within the coffee shop.

I was in charge of designing the menu and other printable materials. I used Adobe Photoshop Portable in making the menu and took some fonts and brushes online. I can’t upload the exact dimensions of the image, ‘coz then it’ll be out of the content’s border line.

Punk It Up!

I realized I have left my Polyvore account untouched for quite a while now, and thought that it’s time I make a new outfit design. I went for the dark look, well, not actually dark, more like cool and sexy, perfect for clubbing at night. I paired the really cool top with liquid leggings and added a studded jacket for that extra style. Instead of necklace, I went for a scarf with black stars, and chose a nice backpack rather than a shoulder bag or sling bag. Then comes the studded (again) black high heels which, I think, is perfect for the jacket. I finished off the look with sunglasses and a hat that you can use in almost any outfit.

As for the makeup, I would go for red lipstick and maybe some black eyeliner, but not heavy like those emo makeups. And while making this look, I suddenly thought of the song “My Medicine” by Pretty Reckless. It’s an American rock band with Taylor Momsen as the lead vocals. For those who doesn’t know Taylor Momsen, she plays the role of Jenny, the little brother of Dan, from Gossip Girl. Honestly though, I hate her character, Jenny. But not her. She’s also kinda punk or goth type of singer. =D
